Sodium Silicate

Sodium silicate is the common name for a compound sodium metasilicate. It is also known as water glass or liquid glass. The main use of sodium silicate is raw material for fine chemical such as silica gel, molecular sieve and white carbon black etc. Used in paperboard, detergent, paper making, welding rod, construction, and metallurgy, etc.

Property
Superior quality sodium silicate, a lumpy solid, is in colorless or light color. After being dissolved at high temperature and high pressure conditions, the sodium silicate becomes into transparent or translucent viscous liquid, in colorless or slightly colored.

Processing technique
Sodium silicate can be achieved by chemical composition between edible soda and high purity quartz sand. During the processing process, coal gas powered regenerative rotary furnace is adopted to offer a constant high temperature of 1400℃ or above. This, coupled with mechanical material feeding, ensures uniform material feeding and complete chemical reaction. The reaction time is short and the energy consumption is low.
